Nina Marie - Founder
As the founder of this multifaceted therapy-assisted nonprofit organization, I have more than 25 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Throughout my career, I worked closely with patients facing critical illnesses, long recovery periods, and challenging life transitions. These experiences shaped my deep commitment to healing, compassion, and improving quality of life for individuals in medical and extended-care settings. My passion has always centered on helping people live more fulfilling, comfortable, and emotionally supported lives.
Over the years, I witnessed how non-clinical therapies such as companionship, music, touch, creativity, and the unconditional comfort of animals can ease stress, reduce loneliness, and promote meaningful healing.
Driven by this belief, I created this nonprofit to bring holistic, accessible, and emotionally uplifting therapy services directly to patients who need them most. My clinical background, hands-on patient experience, and dedication to compassionate care guide the organization’s mission, programs, and vision for expanding therapeutic support within healthcare communities.
I have been a respiratory therapist for 35 years.
During those 35 years, I have encountered patients with depression and loneliness due to a lack of routine family and friend support.
These individuals were usually from extended care facilities and group homes.

In addition to her corporate experience, Tamera is a Registered Respiratory Therapist of 35 years. Throughout her career, she encountered depression and loneliness due to lack of routine family, and friend support. Her professional background reflects a deep commitment to financial integrity, transparency, and sound governance.
She became passionate about addressing individuals’ loneliness and fear of the possibility of continued physical decline when she saw her Father’s health declined. Once when her musician daughter played her father’s favorite music on the guitar, he temporarily forgot that he was suffering from a terminal disease for the entire day. She also have seen how hospitalized people respond when their joy is ignited when therapy dogs enter their rooms. She believes music therapy, pet therapy and just being present with a person plagued with fear of the unknown and loneliness can make a significant positive impact.
Tamera brings valuable expertise in accounting, creative planning and financial oversight to the board, helping support the organization’s mission and vision.
